Lyra is plummetting down to the city streets after her mid-air mind blitz a couple pages back.

The page called for a closeup of her eye as she hits the ground. Well, to do that, you obviously need a closeup, but at the same time, the impact.

I messed with this layout a couple of different ways and settled on progressively tightening shots in smaller panels with her eye being center stage, while the underlaying full-page shot is of the plummet trail and impact.

I positioned the trail over and through the 3 smaller panels to help give the page a sense of simultaneous action, and to speed up the fall.

It sort of has 2 speeds to it, one panel to panel, then another as your reflect on what you're seeing and follow the trail down to the impact.

Really like what you did with the interwoven panels. It works really well for showing the scene. In general, I like how you experiment with layouts and try different things to give each page the right feel. Excellent work!
